Germanic Peoples of South Brazil
Prayer Ministry
People Group Prayer Requests-German Descendants
1. Pray that God would send a Church
Planting Movement to the German descendants living in Brazil.
2. The primary Germanic language spoken in
Brazil is Hunsrik. Pray that the Bible translation project will
soon complete the Gospel of Luke so we can show the Jesus film in the
heart language of our people.
3. Many of the German immigrants who came to Brazil were
Protestants. Some even came with missionary intentions.
Pray that God would rekindle the fire in their hearts
to reach Brazil for Christ.
4. Pray that our work among the German
descendants in Brazil will spill over among the German descendants in
Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile and wherever we may find them in
South America.
Ministry Prayer Requests
1. Pray that God will strengthen the house
churches and raise up leaders from within each of them.
2. Pray that we will learn how to most
effectively disciple people (both believers and non-believers) so that
they will become full participants in the Great Commission.
3. Pray that God will reveal to us in-roads
to the lives of University students so that by reaching them we can
reach their families and plant house churches throughout the region.
4. Pray for the believers and house churches
in Brazil who face persecution for their faith. Many are
ridiculed. At least one has faced physical persecution. One
man was forbidden to even attend a house church by his in-laws.
German Team Prayer Requests
1. God has gifted each of us differently. Pray that we
will understand how to use our individual giftedness in a concerted
effort to plant multiple rapidly reproducing house churches.
2. We have primarily been reaching the
fringe of our people group. Pray that God will open doors so that
we can reach the core of our people.
3. Pray that God will raise up nationals
that we can mentor who will catch a vision for strategically reaching
the lost for Christ.
4. Pray that the gospel will spread among
the German descendants in Brazil so effectively that we work
ourselves out of a job.
5. Pray for our team: Daniel, Teresa,
Joseph and John Paul Allen, Stan, Wendy and Ariana Meador, and Marcos Dahmer.
Family Prayer Requests
1. Pray that we will grow together in Christ
as we try to live according to God's design for the relationships
between husband and wife and parents and child.
2. Pray for each of us as we go about life
in Brazil, that we would be strengthened to resist the myriad of
temptations that we face daily.
3. Pray for our children. Pray that we
will teach them to love and know God.
4. Pray that God will draw Ariana
to Himself--that He will save her soul. Pray for Joseph and John
Paul as they learn to walk with the Lord. Our greatest desire
is for our children to walk with Jesus all the days of their lives.
